Design #1

Figure 1.2 Poster #1 Week 1 (25/09/24).

Oamul Lu, an illustration artist from China, created this artwork to record the view of the year 2018. The theme for his artwork is "Goodbye 2018, Hello 2019", and this is one of the posters with the subject “August”. The illustration shows a breathtaking nature in August. The concept is to greet the year 2019 and draw down the views from each month in 2018. It shows the differences between months as well as the variations that occur during China's many seasons. I was captivated by the texture of the artwork, which featured crayons. It seems like the world is painted.

Design #2

Figure 1.3 Poster #2 Week 1 (25/09/24).

This illustration is for “Weekly Inspiration Dose 129” by Indieground design, a team of designers, developers & photographers from Italy. This is a Japanese vintage style poster with the headline "Toritetsu," which means "to take pictures," and the subject of the photos is "tetsu," which means railroads. The concept is to capture the train on a Japanese railway. I was amazed by the wording and graphics. It appears to be simple and tidy, but it has many words and details on it. It also displays train visuals while highlighting the subject "Toritetsu". Besides that, I really like the vintage style of the poster, with the yellowish paper texture and black ink writing on it giving it a vintage aged sense, expressing railway history through the poster.

Design #3

Figure 1.4 Poster #3 Week 1 (25/09/24).

This poster is about the Studio Ghibli film "Kiki's Delivery Service" and I like it because I am a fan of Studio Ghibli and the designs are appealing. It's an ant view, with Kiki flying through the sky with her broom, Kiki's cat Jiji sitting on the floor with a back view, and the Koriko town. It illustrates the harmony and magical feelings in "Kiki's Delivery Service" by utilising viewpoints and colour palettes to bring out the feeling of wonder and magical.

Reflections

Experiences

During the first meeting, Mr Fauzi introduced us the module and gave us a basic overview of digital photography and imaging. In addition, he briefed us on the tasks and projects for this module in the lecture class.

Observations

I have gained a wealth of knowledge about digital photography and imaging. We should save more fantastic posters on Pinterest to aid us with design.

Findings

Photoshop has become a centre of creativity and is one of the widely used photo editing software
