Pen Tool
Figure 3.2 Use of Pen Tool Week 3 (07/10/24).
It allow you to create path from scratch.
How to use it?
-
Add points and the way you drag the tool as you create the
points determines how they will look.
-
The fewer points, the smoother the path.

Project 1B - Digital Collage
Composition #1
Figure 3.7 Composition #1 Week 5 (21/10/24).
Figure 3.7 Composition #1 Week 5 (21/10/24).
In this design, I used a picture with a little blue and yellow pieces
on white marble texture picture as the background. After that, I
cropped the image of the train station into a triangle shape and
rotated it into 45 degree. Then I inserted a photo of a blue building
from an ant's perspective as the object behind the focus point. Next,
I crop out the various sizes of windows from the image of a white
building and place it in straight line. Finally, I placed the blue
fish in the center of the digital collage to serve as a focal
point.
Composition #2
Figure 3.8 Composition #1 Week 5 (21/10/24).
Figure 3.8 Composition #1 Week 5 (21/10/24).
In this design, I used a picture with a little blue and yellow pieces
on white marble texture picture as the background. After that, I
cropped the image's white and black sand texture into a circle shape
to resemble a black moon. Then I inserted a photo of a blue building
from an ant's perspective as the object behind the focus point. Next,
I crop out the various sizes of windows from the image of a white
building to create the effect of an explosion. Finally, I placed the
blue fish in the center of the digital collage to serve as a focal
point.
Composition #3
Figure 3.9 Composition #1 Week 5 (21/10/24).
Figure 3.9 Composition #1 Week 5 (21/10/24).
In this design, I used a picture with a little blue and yellow pieces
on white marble texture picture as the background. After that, I
cropped the image of the train station into the train with the wall
behind it and rotated it in 90 degree. Then I remove the background of
old projector, typewriter and white building. Finally, I placed the
blue fish in the top of the digital collage to serve as a focal point.
The bright colour of the fish create contrast with the background of
the digital collage.
Final Digital Collage

The best collage selected by the tutor from my three
pre-compositions to use as my final work.
Reflections
Experiences
During the third lecture, Mr Fauzi introduced us about Photoshop tools
such the lasso tool, pen tool, and layers. I made three digital collages
using Photoshop and photographs provided by Mr Fauzi.
Observations
I drag while using the tool to adjust the angle and change the
roundness of the curve.
Findings
I've learned how to use Photoshop's tools to choose a subject or
object from an image. In addition, I learned a lot while creating
the arrangement for the digital collage using the few pictures
provided by Mr Fauzi.
