This poster is created with the quote: "Bloom where you are planted." – St. Francis de Sales. The original quote by Saint Francis de Sales is: "Truly, charity has no limit; for the love of God has been poured into our hearts by His Spirit dwelling in each one of us, calling us to a life of devotion and inviting us to bloom in the garden where He has planted, and directing us to radiate the beauty and spread the fragrance of His Providence." (Defender, P., 2023).
In this poster design, I have used the concept of the four seasons to convey growth and resilience. The word "bloom" is designed with contrasting colours and blooms emerging from the back, symbolising growth and transformation across different environments. The phrase "where you" is styled like building blocks to represent the process of personal development and self-construction. Meanwhile, the melting effect on the word "planted" illustrates the transitions between seasons, emphasising adaptability and continuous growth. I included a foot stepping on the word to represent personal growth, perseverance, and the steps we take to move forward in life. At the centre of the design, an image of myself holding a flower symbolises self-discovery and the act of blooming. The background transitions from top to bottom, representing the four seasons and reinforcing the idea that growth is possible at any time and in any situation.
In conclusion, this design communicates the importance of resilience, adaptability, and the beauty of personal growth, encouraging viewers to embrace their own journeys and bloom wherever life places them.
