Artist Statement
"Torii" refers to a traditional gateway in Japan that signifies the entrance to a sacred space, such as a Shinto shrine. This poster features photographs I captured during my travels in Japan, representing my gateway into Japanese culture.
Reflections
Experiences
In this project, I have learned how to animate by importing a PSD file into After Effects. It was a completely new experience for me, as I usually animate by drawing the frames using Procreate or moving the objects using Procreate Dreams.
Observations
I have observed that we should group the photographs or elements in Photoshop to keep them well organised in the After Effects file. Otherwise, it can become messy. Additionally, we can animate by downloading videos with green screens online, which helps increase the interest of the video.
