Short Reflection for Trailer
The main character appears to be travelling in another universe, and the beat is quite quick. I enjoyed the film's colour scheme. It was generally gloomy with a hint of humour. The plot seems a little complicated, and I'm eager to see the full movie.
Reflection for Movie
First and foremost, I had never seen this film before, but I had heard about it because it won an Oscar and the main actor is Malaysian. After watching it, I believe the film is excellent since it touches on a person's growth. I believe I now understand more about overcoming everything, and that nothing matters. The quote "Every new discovery is just a reminder. We are small and stupid." resonates deeply. Characters like Evelyn Quan Wang, Waymond Wang, and Jobu Tupaki attempt to defy the rules—"There are no rules!"
Besides that, the film is unusual and unique. From the laundry shop to the blackhole, to themselves, the plot is distinct. It was imaginative, captivating, humorous, and moving. Each character’s attire is exquisite, especially Jobu Tupaki’s multiverse outfits. The photography style is quick, intriguing, and effectively maintains tension, like the opening mirror-to-washing-machine transition.
Overall, the film had a really imaginative and unrestrained flair. You never know what comes next. It features rocks, drawings, and symbols of Evelyn and Jobu Tupaki. The movie combines humour, action, self-improvement, and emotion. It was fantastic, and I hope to watch it again.

Audio Dubbing Task – Everything Everywhere All at Once
Mr Martin separate us into group and group members need to choose or record sound clips to be used as sound effects to bring a video clip to life. The duration of the clip was 2 minutes, and we were provided a timestamp dialogue guide to help with the dubbing process.
Group Members
- Emily
- Daphne
- Shuen
- Vincent
- Ryoma
Tasks Assigned
- Each group member was assigned a specific portion of the video clip based on the provided dialogue guide.
- We collaboratively created an audio breakdown sheet to organize and delegate our responsibilities clearly.
- I was in charge of the final segment of the video clip.
- My role involved sourcing appropriate sound effects and background music that matched the visual tone and atmosphere.
- We carefully synchronized the audio elements to align with character actions and environmental changes on screen.

Reflections
Experience
The audio dubbing task allowed me to experience how sound transforms a visual narrative. It was challenging yet rewarding to find sounds that matched both action and mood. Working in a team improved my communication and coordination skills. I have gained a wealth of knowledge about audio dubbing and sound shaping through this project.
.
Observation
I discovered that layering multiple sound effects helped create a more immersive environment. Using ambient sounds effectively enhanced emotional impact. Organizing tasks using a breakdown sheet made collaboration smoother. The right background music drastically influenced the tone of the scene.
Findings
Audio dubbing was an engaging and insightful task and sound shaping was a fun task. Overall, this was an enjoyable project that taught me a great deal throughout the module. I hope to apply the skills and knowledge I’ve gained to future assignments.
