Reflections

What I have learnt in this module?

In this module, I learnt a lot about Gestalt Theory, design principles and three phases of artwork Visual Analysis: Observations, Analysis and Interpretation. Aside from that, it is an excellent opportunity to discover various types of artworks including paintings, sculpture, and even photographs.

What did I enjoy the most?

What I enjoyed the most was seeing beautiful sketches and beautiful artworks done by artists from all over the world. They are all surprising, and I was impressed by the magnificent artworks, especially when I took a closer look. They have many amazing ideas, using the composition, adding imagination. It was brilliant and I have learnt a lot from them.

What did I not enjoy the most?

I think that the thing that I don't particularly enjoy in this task is writing the interpretation. It's a bit hard for me cause every time I see the artwork I have a different feelings and taughts.

What have I learnt about myself through this module?

Throughout these seven weeks, I've learnt a lot about myselfAside from time management, which I always include in my reflections, I've learnt that we should always seek feedback from lecturer or tutors in order to obtain the most up-to-date information and improve our blog and work. Especially for this module, we're taking classes online, communication is essential throughout this task. Besides that, I learn to think out of the box and could draw the sketch in any kind of way, I keep struggling weather need to add colours or draw at which medium but actually it doesn't matter. Besides that, I learn not to give up while completing the task because you will complete it if you try hard.

What has changed and what has not in my learning journey?

The thing that changed for me was probably not completing tasks at the last minute. This is because my classmates are all really hard-working. They completed their work quickly. As a result, when I learn about their progress, I will try to catch up since I am afraid I will fall behind while others have already finished. That is horrifying and a nightmare for me. Besides that, I learnt more about painting using digital media. It was very fun and I have start painting on Procreate everyday.

What are my aspirations?

My aspiration is to explore more artworks, especially paintings. I like attractive scenery paintings. Besides from that, I intend to do all of the work on time and learn more from my classmates. I learnt a lot from my classmates and Dr. Charles during the tutorial lesson. They have different ideas and different perspectives even though looking at the same artwork or word. It was really a fun and wonderful module.
